Objective
This article helps you find your Voice geo permissions, where you can see every calling destination available to your account, how it is rated for toll-fraud risk, and whether it is currently enabled.
Product
Programmable Voice
Environment
Twilio Console
User Account Permission/Role(s) Required
Read access to account settings, billing usage, and Voice geo permissions is required to open the page.
Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
- Select Voice, then Settings.
- Select the Geo permissions tab. The page opens on the Low risk view by default.
- Under Low risk countries, review the table. The columns are Country, Country code, Programmable Voice (cost/min), Elastic SIP Trunking (cost/min), and Enable destination.
- Rows are grouped by continent. Select the expand control on a continent row to reveal the individual countries it contains.
- Select the High risk tab to review the destinations rated as high risk for toll fraud, in the same table layout.
Additional Information
- Enabled destinations apply to both Programmable Voice and Elastic SIP Trunking outbound calls, and your geo permissions apply to all Twilio Regions.
- Destinations are split by risk of toll fraud, also called International Revenue Sharing Fraud (IRSF). Most businesses only need to call low risk destinations.
- On the High risk tab, countries expand one level further: continent, then country, then prefix group — so you can enable specific number ranges within a country rather than the whole country.
- Use the Search box above either table to jump to a continent or country. Each risk tab keeps its own search box; switching tabs clears the filter.
- To turn a destination on or off, see the article on enabling a calling destination in Voice geo permissions.
- Voice settings are also reachable from Settings in the left sidebar, under Product settings › Voice.
