Objective
This article helps you withdraw your account's acceptance of the Predictive and Generative AI/ML Features Addendum for Twilio Voice, and shows you which features stop working when you do.
Product
Programmable Voice
Environment
Twilio Console
User Account Permission/Role(s) Required
Update access to Voice settings is required to change this setting. Without it the checkbox is read-only and the Save button is not shown.
Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
- Select Voice, then Settings.
- On the General tab, select Privacy & Security in the settings navigation.
- Clear the checkbox labelled "I understand use of these features is subject to the Predictive and Generative AI/ML Features Addendum."
- The Opt out of AI/ML addendum for Twilio Voice dialog opens and explains that by opting out, use of the listed features will be blocked on your account.
- Review the list of affected features:
- Twilio Conversation Relay
- Twilio Programmable Voice – Real-Time Transcriptions
- Twilio Programmable Video – Real-Time Transcriptions
- Twilio Conversational Intelligence (formerly Twilio Voice Intelligence)
- Twilio Agent Copilot
- Twilio Flex Conversational Insights
- Select Opt out. The dialog closes and the checkbox is now cleared.
- Select Save. A confirmation message reads "Voice general settings have been updated successfully."
Additional Information
- Nothing is changed until you save. If you select Cancel or close the dialog with the X, the checkbox stays selected and your acceptance is untouched.
- Opting out blocks the listed features on the whole account, not just for your own user.
- To accept the addendum again, select the checkbox and save. Selecting the checkbox does not open a confirmation dialog.
