How do I rename a SIP header manipulation policy?

Objective

This article shows you how to change the friendly name of a SIP header manipulation policy so it is easier to identify when you apply it to a trunk.

Product

Elastic SIP Trunking

Environment

Twilio Console

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required

Your role must include permission to update header manipulation policies.

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Voice, then Elastic SIP Trunking.
  3. Select the SIP header manipulations tab, then select the policy you want to rename.
  4. Replace the value in the Policy friendly name field.
  5. Select Save name.
  6. A Header manipulation policy updated. confirmation appears.

Additional Information

  • The policy friendly name is required and limited to 64 characters.
  • Save name saves only the name. Rule changes are saved separately with Save rules.
  • Renaming does not change the policy's SID, so trunks already using the policy keep working.
