Product
Programmable Voice
Environment
Twilio Console
User Account Permission/Role(s) Required
Your user must have permission to update Voice SIP domains on the account. Without it, the Edit SIP registration button is not shown.
Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
- Select Voice, then SIP domains.
- Select the friendly name of the domain you want to change.
- In the SIP registration section, select Edit SIP registration.
- Under Enable SIP registration, select Enabled.
- Select the Credential lists field and choose at least one credential list. Endpoints authenticate their registration with the credentials in that list.
- Select Save.
- A SIP registration updated confirmation appears and the section's status reads Enabled.
- To turn registration off, reopen the panel, select Disabled, and select Save. The status returns to Disabled.
Additional Information
- New SIP domains start with SIP registration Disabled, and the Credential lists field stays unavailable until you select Enabled.
- Saving with Enabled selected but no credential list chosen shows "Please add at least one Credential List for Registration Authentication." and keeps the panel open.
- Select Cancel, or Close side modal, to leave the panel without saving.
- When you configure your SIP endpoint, register it against the localized SIP domain name for the region you want, for example the North America Virginia form of your domain name.
- While registration is disabled, the Registered endpoints tab shows SIP registration is disabled with a link back to Details instead of a search box.
