Objective
This article helps you download a CSV file listing your call recordings, so you can review or report on them outside the console.
Product
Programmable Voice
Environment
Twilio Console
User Account Permission/Role(s) Required
Your user needs permission to list recordings on the account, plus permission to access recordings' sensitive data. Without the second permission, the Export CSV action is not offered.
Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select Monitor in the left sidebar.
- Select Logs, then Voice.
- Select the Call recordings tab.
- Optionally select Add filters and set a Date & time range, to limit the export to recordings created in that window.
- Select Export CSV in the page header.
- While the export runs, the action changes to show how many recordings have been gathered so far. Select it if you want to stop the export.
- When the export finishes, a message reports how many recordings were exported and the file is downloaded.
Additional Information
The export carries over your date range, but not a Recording SID search — a search shows a single row that is already on screen.
The exported file always includes deleted recordings, whatever the Deleted recordings filter is set to on the list. Tell them apart by the Date deleted value in the exported rows.
There is a cap on how many recordings one export can contain. If your range matches more than that, the file holds the first batch and the console tells you to narrow your date range to export the rest.
Export CSV is unavailable when the list has no rows to export. If nothing matches your filters, the console reports No recordings match your current filters. If you cancel, no file is downloaded.
