How do I delete a batch transcription configuration?

Objective

This article explains how to remove a batch transcription configuration you no longer need, and what stops working once it is gone.

Product

Programmable Voice

Environment

Twilio Console

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Voice, then Transcriptions.
  3. Select the name of the configuration you want to remove.
  4. In the page header, select Delete transcription configuration.
  5. A Delete this configuration? dialog appears explaining that all associated transcription preferences will no longer persist, and that any recording configuration relying on it for automatic transcription will no longer function.
  6. Select Delete configuration to confirm.

Additional Information

  • Deleting a configuration cannot be undone.
  • Before deleting, check whether any recording configuration has this transcription configuration attached under its Additional features section. Those recordings will stop being transcribed. See "How do I transcribe recordings made with a recording configuration?"
  • To back out, select Cancel in the dialog. Nothing is deleted.
