Objective
This article helps you remove a credential list you no longer need, and explains why a list that is still in use by a SIP domain cannot be deleted.
Product
Programmable Voice
Environment
Twilio Console
User Account Permission/Role(s) Required
Your user must have permission to delete Voice SIP credential lists on the account.
Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
- Select Voice, then SIP domains.
- Select the Credential lists tab, then select the friendly name of the list you want to remove.
- Select Delete this credential list.
- In the Delete this credential list? confirmation, check the named list in the warning text.
- Select Delete this credential list to confirm, or Cancel to keep it.
- A Credential List Deleted confirmation appears and you are returned to the credential lists page, where the list no longer appears.
Additional Information
- If the list is attached to one or more SIP domains, the confirmation is replaced by You cannot delete credential lists with associated SIP Domains, which explains that credential lists cannot be deleted while in use by SIP domains and offers only Close. Remove the list from those domains' Voice authentication settings first, then delete it.
- Deletion cannot be undone, and it removes every credential in the list.
- Selecting Cancel keeps you on the details page with the list intact.
- If the deletion cannot be completed, Error deleting credential list appears and the list remains.
