How do I view the settings of a SIP domain?

Objective

This article helps you open a single SIP domain and read every part of its configuration in one place, so you know what to change and where to change it.

Product

Programmable Voice

Environment

Twilio Console

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required

Your user must have permission to read Voice SIP domains on the account. Edit buttons appear only for the sections your user has permission to update.

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Voice, then SIP domains.
  3. On the SIP domains tab, select the friendly name of the domain you want to review.
  4. The detail page opens on the Details tab and shows these sections:
  5. Properties — Friendly Name, SIP URI, and SIP domain SID.
  6. Active region — where personal data for this domain is processed and stored.
  7. Voice authentication — the IP Access control lists and Credential lists used to authenticate inbound SIP calls.
  8. Call control configuration — A call comes in, Primary handler fails, and Call status changes.
  9. Secure media — whether signaling and media encryption is required.
  10. SIP registration — whether endpoints may register with this domain, and the credential lists used for registration.
  11. Emergency calling — whether associated phone numbers may call emergency services, and the emergency caller ID.
  12. Select Registered endpoints at the top of the page to see the endpoints currently registered against this domain.

Additional Information

  • Each section has its own Edit button, so you can change one area of the configuration without touching the others.
  • Delete this SIP Domain appears at the top of the detail page.
  • Sections show a dash when a value has not been configured.
  • When SIP registration or emergency calling is disabled, the extra fields for that section are hidden until you enable it.
