How do I accept the AI/ML terms for voice transcriptions?

Objective

This article explains the one-time acknowledgement you are asked for the first time you create a voice transcription configuration, and how to complete it so you can continue to the configuration setup.

Product

Programmable Voice

Environment

Twilio Console

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Voice, then Transcriptions.
  3. Select Create configuration. If the terms have not yet been accepted for this account, an AI/ML features dialog opens instead of the setup, mentioning Voice batch transcriptions and explaining how to opt out of the AI/ML addendum.
  4. Select the acknowledgement checkbox.
  5. Select Save.
  6. The dialog closes and you continue straight to the Name configuration step of the transcription configuration setup.

Additional Information

  • The acknowledgement is required. Selecting Save without checking the box shows "AI/ML terms acknowledgement is required to continue." and the dialog stays open.
  • Selecting Cancel closes the dialog and leaves you on the Transcriptions list without accepting the terms.
  • Opening the configuration setup directly before accepting returns you to the Transcriptions list with the AI/ML features dialog already open.
  • You only need to do this once per account. After acceptance, Create configuration goes straight to the setup.
