How do I edit a public key credential?

Objective

This article helps you update the friendly name of an existing public key credential so it stays easy to identify in your list.

Product

Programmable Voice

Environment

Twilio Console

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required

Your user must have permission to update Voice settings on the account.

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Voice, then Settings.
  3. Select the Voice credentials tab, then the Public keys sub-tab.
  4. Find the credential's row and open its Actions menu.
  5. Select Edit.
  6. In Edit public key, the Friendly name field is pre-filled with the current value. Replace it with the new name.
  7. Select Save.
  8. A Public key updated confirmation appears with "The public key has been updated successfully.", the panel closes, and the row shows the new name.

Additional Information

  • The friendly name is required and limited to 100 characters.
  • The credential's identifier and creation date do not change when you rename it.
  • If the credential you want is not on the current page, use Go to next page to find it before opening its Actions menu.
