How do I control which countries Verify can send verifications to?

Objective

This article shows you where to set the geographic permissions for Verify, so verifications can only be sent to the countries you actually serve.

Product

Twilio Verify

Environment

Twilio Console

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Identity & security in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Verify, then Settings.
  3. The Verify settings page opens on the Branded Sender ID tab. Select the Geo permissions tab, which sits between Templates Management and Email integration.
  4. The Verify geographic permissions view opens.
  5. Enable the countries you want to allow verifications to, disable the ones you do not, then save your changes.

Additional Information

Restricting geographic permissions to the countries you genuinely serve is one of the most effective ways to limit fraudulent verification traffic and the cost that comes with it.

Verification attempts to a country you have disabled are rejected, and the rejection is recorded in the Verify Logs page under Verify in the left sidebar.

Geographic permissions here apply to Verify only. Messaging and Voice have their own separate geographic permission settings.
