How do I filter the audit events in a report?

Objective

This article shows you how to narrow an audit events report to a specific time window or set of attributes, so you can find the events you care about instead of reading through every event on the account.

Product

Twilio Console

Environment

Twilio Console

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Settings in the left sidebar.
  2. Under Account settings, select Audit events.
  3. Select the name of the report you want to filter.
  4. To change the time window, select the Date Range control above the table, choose one of Is in last 24 hours, Is in last 7 Days, Is in last 14 Days, Last 30 Days, or Custom Range, and then select Apply.
  5. To filter on another attribute, select Add filters, then choose the attribute you want, such as Region, Event type, Product, Resource Type, Source, Actor Name, Account SID, Actor SID, Subaccount, Event SID, Resource SID, Source IP, Description, or Include Subaccounts.
  6. Select the filter you added, enter or choose the value you want to match, and pick a comparison such as Equals, Not equals, Starts with, or Contains.
  7. Select Apply. The events table reloads showing only the matching events.

Additional Information

  • A date range is always applied. If you do not choose one, the report returns the last 30 days.
  • The earliest date you can select is 13 months before today.
  • Include Subaccounts is set to Yes by default, so events from your subaccounts appear alongside your own. Set it to No to see only events for the account you are viewing.
  • Advanced filtering on audit events is part of Twilio Editions. If your account does not include it, the report shows a message pointing you to the Editions packages instead of the filter controls.
