How do I register an action in the action library?

Objective

This article shows you how to register a webhook as an action in Identity Management, so it becomes available to add to your login or signup flows.

Product

Identity Management

Environment

Twilio Console

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Identity & security in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Identity Management, then Actions.
  3. Select the Library tab.
  4. Select Create a new action.
  5. In the Create action window, fill in:
  6. Name, a name for the action.
  7. Webhook URL, the HTTPS endpoint the action calls.
  8. Select Create.
  9. A confirmation appears and the action is listed in the table with its Name and Webhook URL.

To change an action, open the actions menu at the end of its row and select Edit, update the fields, and select Save.

To remove an action, open the actions menu and select Delete, then confirm.

Additional Information

The webhook URL must be a valid URL and must use HTTPS. It can be up to 2,048 characters, and the name up to 255.

Registering an action does not run it. To have it run, add it to your login or signup flow from the Login or Signup tab.

If you have not created any actions yet, the table shows No actions yet.
