How do I assign a role to a user on my account?

Objective

This article helps you grant a user access to your account or to one of its subaccounts by creating a role assignment for them.

Product

Twilio Console

Environment

Twilio Console

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Settings in the left sidebar.
  2. Under Account settings, select User management.
  3. On the Active users page, open the actions menu for the user and select Edit role assignments.
  4. On the Role assignment page, select Create role assignment.
  5. In the Create a new role assignment dialog, choose a Scope type: Account or Subaccount.
  6. Open Scope(s) and select where the access should apply. You can select more than one scope. Choosing Account offers the account you are currently in.
  7. Open Roles and select one or more roles.
  8. Select Save changes.
  9. A confirmation appears: "You have successfully created the role assignment."

Additional Information

  • Scope(s) and Roles stay disabled until you pick a scope type, and the roles available depend on the scope you selected.
  • Organization is not offered as a scope type here. Organization-level roles are managed in the organization settings.
  • Create role assignment is available even when the user currently has no role assignments on this account.
  • Closing the dialog without selecting Save changes makes no changes.
