How do I get started with Twilio Lookup in the Console?

Objective

This article shows you how to reach the Lookup overview page in the Twilio Console, where you can see which phone number intelligence packages Lookup offers and open the reference material for each one.

Product

Twilio Lookup

Environment

Twilio Console

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Identity & security in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Lookup, then Overview.
  3. Read the Lookup features section to see what Lookup covers: global number validation, fraud detection and deliverability, identity verification and personalization, and integration through a single REST API.
  4. Scroll to Resources & Quickstarts and select the package you want to learn about, Line Type Intelligence, Reassigned Number, Identity Match, SMS Pumping Risk Score, Line Status, SIM Swap, or Caller Name. Each card opens the matching guide in the Twilio docs.
  5. To try a query against a real phone number, select Try out Lookup.

Additional Information

Some packages have limited geographic coverage: Reassigned Number and Caller Name are available for US numbers only, and SIM Swap has limited carrier coverage and requires onboarding. Check the linked guide for the current coverage before you build against a package.

If your account is on a trial, the overview page shows Upgrade your account for full access. Upgrading removes trial restrictions on Lookup.
