How do I find a user in Identity Management?

Objective

This article shows you how to search your Identity Management users and open a single user's record to review their identity details.

Product

Identity Management

Environment

Twilio Console

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Identity & security in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Identity Management, then Users.
  3. Review the table. It lists User ID, External ID, Email(s), Phone number(s), and Date created, and shows pills with your total user count and the number of new users in the last 30 days.
  4. In the Search by user box, enter a full email address, a full phone number including country code, or a full user ID.
  5. Select a user ID to open their record.
  6. On the Details tab, read the Identity section: User ID, Email addresses, Phone numbers, Date created, and Last updated. Deleted email addresses and phone numbers are listed separately. If the user has trusted metadata, a Metadata section shows it.
  7. Select View JSON to see the raw user record.

Additional Information

Search matches complete values only. A partial email address, a phone number missing its country code, or a truncated user ID returns No results found along with guidance on the accepted formats.

You can sort the table by Date created, and use Next and Previous below the table to page through users. The page shows 20 users at a time.

Email addresses and phone numbers are shown with their status, so you can tell an active contact detail from a pending or deleted one.
