Environment

Twilio Console

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required

An account role that allows you to update public keys. Without it, the Edit name action is not shown.

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Settings in the left sidebar.
  2. Under Account settings, select Public keys.
  3. Select the key you want to rename. Its details page shows the key's SID.
  4. Select Edit name.
  5. Change the Friendly name and select Save.
  6. A confirmation appears: "Public key updated successfully."

Additional Information

  • A friendly name is required; clearing the field and saving reports "Friendly name is required".

  • Select Cancel to close the panel without saving.
  • If the key cannot be loaded, the page shows "Unable to load public key details", reload the page and try again.
