How do I edit a rule in my Intelligence configuration?

Objective

This article helps you change an existing rule, swapping operators, adjusting their parameters or pinned versions, changing the trigger or the webhook that receives results, or adjusting the context available to it.

Product

Conversation Intelligence

Environment

Twilio Console

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Orchestration in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Conversation Intelligence, then Intelligence configurations.
  3. Select the configuration that holds the rule, then open the Details tab.
  4. In the Rules table, find the rule, the columns show its operators, triggers, actions, and context, and select Edit on its row.
  5. The rule opens on Add language operators with its current operators already selected and listed first in the table. Adjust the selection, keeping between one and five operators.
  6. On Set parameters, adjust each operator's parameters and its Version setting. Operators already on the rule keep their saved version choice; newly added ones default to Automatic.
  7. On Trigger and action, change when the rule runs and the HTTPS webhook URL that receives the results.
  8. On Add context, change which knowledge bases the rule can access, or turn Conversation Memory on or off for it.
  9. On Summary, review your changes and select Save changes. A confirmation appears that the rule was updated.

Additional Information

The rules table on the Details tab is the quickest way to see what each rule currently does before you open it.

If a version you pinned is now deprecated, a warning appears telling you it will be retired soon, update it here to avoid a break when it is retired. Retired versions cannot be selected.

The same limits as rule creation apply: at least one operator, at most five, a trigger, and a valid HTTPS action URL.
