Objective
This article shows you how to turn on email notifications for Intelligent Alerts and choose which message error codes you want to be told about, so your team hears about anomalies without watching the Console.
Product
Programmable Messaging
Environment
Twilio Console
User Account Permission/Role(s) Required
Your user needs permission to list Intelligent Alerts events on the account.
Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
- Select Messaging, then Messaging intelligence.
- Select Manage notifications.
- In the Manage notifications panel, under Email, select Enable email notifications.
- In Send to the following email addresses, type the addresses that should receive alerts. Separate multiple addresses with commas.
- Under Error codes, select Select which error codes to get notified about and choose the codes you care about. The available codes are:
- 30001, queue overflow (too many messages sent too quickly)
- 30003, recipient phone temporarily unreachable (powered off, airplane mode, or out of range)
- 30005, unknown or invalid phone number (not in service or incorrect)
- 30006, landline or permanently unreachable number
- 30007, message filtered as spam by carrier
- 30008, carrier reported a generic delivery error
- Select Save.
- A confirmation message tells you that notification preferences were saved.
Additional Information
All six error codes are selected by default. At least one error code must stay selected, otherwise saving shows "Select at least one error code."
If you enable email notifications, you must supply at least one email address. Each address is validated, and an invalid one is named in the error message so you can correct it.
If the panel is still loading your current preferences when you save, it asks you to wait and try again. If your existing preferences cannot be loaded at all, saving is blocked until the page can read them.
Select Cancel to close the panel without changing anything.
