How do I set up Identity for AI Agents?

Objective

This article shows you how to do the one-time setup that turns on Identity for AI Agents for your account, so the rest of the product's pages become available to configure.

Product

Identity for AI Agents

Environment

Twilio Console

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Identity & security in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Identity for AI Agents, then Overview.
  3. Open any Identity for AI Agents page, for example Configure, Consent Screen, or Custom Scopes. Before setup is complete, each page shows a Get started with Agent Identity message.
  4. Select Get Started.
  5. In the Get started with Agent Identity window, enter a Friendly name for your configuration.
  6. Select Get started.
  7. A confirmation appears and the page reloads with its full configuration options.

Additional Information

The friendly name is required. It is shown to your end users on the consent screen, and you can change it later from the Consent Screen page.

You only do this once per account. After setup, the Configure page shows your Authentication Domain, which is the domain your agents authenticate against.

Once set up, the Overview page's Connect your identity provider cards link straight to the remaining setup tasks: configuring a trusted auth token, setting up a custom domain, defining custom authorization scopes, customizing the consent screen, and configuring notification channels.
