How do I find a user's identity details and scopes?

Objective

This article shows you how to find one of your end users in Identity for AI Agents and review their identity record and the scopes they are able to grant to agents.

Product

Identity for AI Agents

Environment

Twilio Console

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Identity & security in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Identity for AI Agents, then Identities.
  3. Review the table. It lists User ID, External ID, Email(s), Phone number(s), and Date created, and shows pills with your total user count and new users in the last 30 days.
  4. To find a specific user, use the Search by user box. Enter a full email address, a full phone number including country code, or a full user ID.
  5. Select the user ID to open that user's record.
  6. On the Details tab, read the Identity section: User ID, Email addresses, Phone numbers, Date created, and Last updated. Email addresses and phone numbers that have been deleted are listed separately. If the user has trusted metadata, a Metadata section shows it.
  7. Select View JSON to see the raw user record.
  8. Select the Scopes tab to see every scope available to this user, with its Name and Description. Scopes marked Implicit are granted to every user automatically.

Additional Information

Search matches only complete values. A partial email address, a phone number without its country code, or a truncated user ID returns No results found with guidance on the accepted formats.

In Identity for AI Agents, user records and their scopes are read-only in the Console, your own identity provider remains the source of truth for them.

To see which agents a user has authorized, select the Authorized clients tab.
