How do I edit a memory store's name and description?

Objective

This article helps you rename a memory store or update its description, so the store is easy to recognise when you have several of them.

Product

Conversation Memory

Environment

Twilio Console

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required

Your role must allow reading Conversation Memory memory stores to open the settings, and updating them to save changes.

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Data in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Conversation Memory, then Memory stores.
  3. Select the store you want to change, then open its Settings tab.
  4. Review the current Memory store name and Description, then select Edit settings.
  5. Update Memory store name, Description, or both.
  6. Select Save. A Memory store updated successfully confirmation appears and the settings page shows the new values.

Additional Information

  • The name can contain only letters, numbers, and hyphens, and can be up to 64 characters long.
  • A description is required and can be up to 128 characters long. If a store has no description, the settings page shows No description provided.
  • The store's ID never changes, so renaming a store does not affect anything that already references it.
