How do I delete a data mapping?

Objective

This article helps you remove a CRM or warehouse mapping from a memory store, so that source no longer writes to your customer profiles.

Product

Conversation Memory

Environment

Twilio Console

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required

Your role must allow reading Conversation Memory memory stores and updating them.

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Data in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Conversation Memory, then Memory stores.
  3. Select the store, then open the Data sources tab and choose CRM or Warehouse.
  4. Find the mapping you want to remove, open its row actions menu, and select Delete mapping.
  5. Confirm the deletion in the dialog that appears.
  6. A confirmation appears and the mapping is removed from the list.

Additional Information

  • Deleting a mapping removes the link between the dataset and your customer profile traits. The source and the dataset stay saved on your account and can be reused in a new mapping.
  • Trait values already written to customer profiles are not removed when you delete the mapping.
  • If the deletion fails, an error message appears and the mapping stays in the list.
  • If you only want to pause the data flow, disable the mapping instead of deleting it.
