How do I add a public key for verifying my JWT signatures?

Objective

This article shows you how to add or remove the public keys Identity for AI Agents uses to verify the signature on tokens issued by your identity provider.

Product

Identity for AI Agents

Environment

Twilio Console

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Identity & security in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Identity for AI Agents, then Configure.
  3. Select the Identity Provider tab and find the Public Keys section.
  4. Select Add.
  5. In the Add public key panel, supply the key one of two ways:
  6. Under Copy/Paste, enter a Friendly name and paste a single RSA key in PEM format into Public key.
  7. Under Upload, select Upload new file and choose a .pem file. The key takes its title from the file name, so no friendly name is needed.
  8. Select Save changes.
  9. The key appears in the Public Keys table under Key Title.

To remove a key, select Delete on its row and confirm.

Additional Information

You can add up to 3 public keys. Once you have 3, Add is unavailable until you delete one.

Add one key at a time. Pasting a key and uploading a file in the same submission is rejected, clear one of the two to continue.

The friendly name is required on the paste path and can be up to 255 characters. Uploads must be .pem files; anything else is rejected.

When no keys have been added yet, the section shows No public keys added.
