How do I edit the column mappings for a CRM or warehouse mapping?

Objective

This article helps you change which dataset columns write to which customer profile traits on an existing CRM or warehouse mapping, for example to bring in a column you skipped the first time.

Product

Conversation Memory

Environment

Twilio Console

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required

Your role must allow reading Conversation Memory memory stores and updating them.

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Data in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Conversation Memory, then Memory stores.
  3. Select the store, then open the Data sources tab and choose CRM or Warehouse.
  4. Find the mapping you want to change, open its row actions menu, and select Edit mapping.
  5. The Edit mapping page opens with the current mappings already filled in, grouped under their trait group (for example Contact traits) and showing how many columns are mapped and how many are still unassigned.
  6. To add a column, assign it to a trait group under Unassigned columns, choose the trait field, and select Apply.
  7. To change or remove an existing mapping, adjust it in its trait group section.
  8. Select Save mapping. You are returned to the CRM mappings or Warehouse mappings page.

Additional Information

  • At least one column must remain mapped. Saving with nothing mapped shows No columns mapped.
  • A column assigned to a trait group but not mapped to a trait field blocks the save with an Unmapped column message. Finish or remove that column first.
  • At least one mapped column must be an identifier trait, otherwise saving shows an Identity Resolution trait required error.
