How do I delete a customer profile?

Objective

This article helps you permanently remove one customer profile from a memory store, together with the trait and event data held against it.

Product

Conversation Memory

Environment

Twilio Console

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required

Your role must allow deleting a Conversation Memory customer profile.

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Data in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Conversation Memory, then Memory stores.
  3. Select the store, then open the Customer profiles tab.
  4. Find the profile you want to remove and open the actions menu at the end of its row.
  5. Select Delete Profile.
  6. Read the confirmation, which warns that this permanently removes all historical traits and event data for the profile.
  7. Select Delete profile. A Profile deleted confirmation appears and the profile is removed from the list.

Additional Information

  • Deleting a profile cannot be undone.
  • If the same customer contacts you again, a new profile is created from the incoming data, so deleting a profile is not a way to block future data collection.
  • If the deletion fails, an Unable to delete profile. Try again later. message appears and the profile remains in the list.
