How do I delete a memory store?

Objective

This article helps you permanently remove a memory store you no longer need, along with the customer profiles and profile data it holds.

Product

Conversation Memory

Environment

Twilio Console

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required

Your role must allow reading and updating Conversation Memory memory stores.

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Data in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Conversation Memory, then Memory stores.
  3. Select the store you want to remove, then open its Settings tab.
  4. Select Delete memory store.
  5. Read the confirmation dialog. It warns that this permanently removes the memory store, its profiles, and all profile data.
  6. Select Delete memory store to confirm. A Memory store deleted successfully confirmation appears and you are returned to the Memory stores list.

Additional Information

  • Deleting a store cannot be undone. The profiles, traits, identifiers, observations, and summaries it holds are removed with it.
  • If the store is still linked to one or more Conversation configurations, the deletion is blocked and a This store is currently in use message appears. Remove the store from those configurations first, then try again.
  • If the deletion fails, a Failed to delete memory store message appears and the store is left untouched.
