How do I create a memory store?

Objective

This article helps you add another memory store to your account. A memory store holds a separate set of customer profiles, traits, identifiers, and data sources, so a second store is useful when you want to keep the memory for different products, brands, or environments apart.

Product

Conversation Memory

Environment

Twilio Console

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required

Your role must allow creating Conversation Memory memory stores.

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Data in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Conversation Memory, then Memory stores.
  3. Select Create new store.
  4. Conversation Memory creates the store and opens it on its Customer profiles tab.

Additional Information

  • The store is created with a generated name. To change it, open the store's Settings tab and select Edit settings.
  • A memory store name can contain only letters, numbers, and hyphens, and can be up to 64 characters long. The description is required and can be up to 128 characters long.
  • Each new store starts with the default Contact trait group and the default email and phone identifiers already configured.
