How do I change the sync schedule or columns for a CRM dataset?

Objective

This article helps you edit an existing CRM dataset, its name, how often it syncs, and which collection and columns it reads, without rebuilding the whole mapping.

Product

Conversation Memory

Environment

Twilio Console

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required

Your role must allow reading Conversation Memory memory stores and updating them.

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Data in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Conversation Memory, then Memory stores.
  3. Select the store, then open the Data sources tab and choose CRM.
  4. Select the mapping that uses the dataset, then open the Settings tab of its detail panel.
  5. Under Dataset settings, select Edit dataset settings. The Edit dataset page opens on Set sync schedule with the current Name and schedule filled in.
  6. Change the name, or switch between Manual and Interval and adjust the frequency, then select Next.
  7. On Select collection and columns, add or remove columns as needed.
  8. Select Preview to check sample records with your new column selection, and Reload preview if you change the selection again.
  9. Select Save changes. You are returned to the CRM mappings page.

Additional Information

  • The dataset needs a name, clearing it prevents you from moving past the sync schedule step.
  • Datasets are saved at the account level, so a change here affects every mapping that uses the same dataset.
  • Adding a column here does not map it to a trait. Use Edit mapping afterwards to map the new column to a customer profile trait.
