Twilio Console
Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select Identity & security in the left sidebar.
- Select Identity for AI Agents, then Custom Domains.
- Review the table. It lists your domains under Name with a Status for each. Your automatically generated domain is marked Default.
- Select Add domain.
- On the Add custom domain step, enter your Domain and continue.
- On the Choose verification method step, pick how you want to prove ownership:
- Automatic, log in to your DNS provider to have the record configured and verified for you.
- Manual, add the CNAME records to your DNS records yourself, through your domain provider.
- I'm not sure, Twilio provides instructions you can copy and send to your administrator or IT team.
- On the Verify domain step, follow the instructions for the method you chose. For the manual path, add the CNAME record shown to your domain's DNS records.
- Select Verify domain to finish.
- Back on the Custom Domains page, your domain shows Verified once ownership is confirmed.
If your domain is still pending, select Verify on its row to check again.
Additional Information
DNS records can take up to 48 hours to propagate and be verified. Until then the domain shows Unverified, check back later rather than re-adding it.
A domain that shows Failed cannot be verified. Delete it with Delete on its row and add it again.
You can have one custom domain in addition to the default domain. While a custom domain exists, Add domain is not offered, delete the existing one first.
The default domain cannot be verified or deleted.
If you paste a full URL into the Domain field, the domain is extracted from it for you.
