How do I see which traits are on my customer profiles?

Objective

This article helps you review the trait groups and trait fields configured for a memory store, so you know which fields Conversation Memory can store against a customer profile before you map data into them.

Product

Conversation Memory

Environment

Twilio Console

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required

Your role must allow listing Conversation Memory trait groups.

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select Data in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Conversation Memory, then Memory stores.
  3. Select the store you want to review, then open the Traits tab.
  4. Each trait group appears as its own card, named after the group, for example Contact traits.
  5. Within a card, review each trait's Trait name, Data type, and Description.

Additional Information

  • Traits appear as fields on the customer profile, and every trait must belong to a trait group.
  • A trait that is also used for identity resolution is marked with an Identifier badge. For those traits, the row actions include Manage identifier, which opens the matching identity rule on the Identifiers tab.
  • The default Contact group is listed first and cannot be deleted, and its default traits cannot be deleted either.
  • If the store has no trait groups yet, the tab shows No trait groups have been created yet. with an Add trait group button.
