How do I see which roles I have on an account?

Objective

This article shows you how to check the roles you have been granted on a particular Twilio account, so you can understand what you are allowed to do there, or explain to an administrator what access you are missing.

Product

Twilio Console

Environment

Twilio Console

Procedure

  1. In the Twilio Console, select your account name in the top bar to open the account switcher.
  2. Select View my accounts.
  3. Find the account you want to check and open its Quick links menu.
  4. Select View my role(s).
  5. A side panel opens headed Your roles on this account: {account name}, listing each role with a Role Name and a Description.
  6. Close the panel when you are finished.

Additional Information

  • If you hold no roles on the account, the panel shows No Account Roles Found.
  • If your only access comes through the billing group attached to the account, the panel explains: You do not have any role assignments for this account. However, you can access the account's billing as you have access to the billing group associated with this account. No role rows are listed in this case.
  • If you hold roles on the account and have billing group access, the panel notes You have below roles assigned for this account. Additionally you can also access the account's billing as you have access to the billing group associated with this account., and the table lists your account roles.
  • View my role(s) is not offered for closed, suspended, or dormant accounts.
