Objective
Your primary compliance profile is the record of who you are, and it is the first thing Twilio verifies. You need an approved primary profile before you can create any other compliance registration on the account, so this is the starting point for A2P 10DLC, toll-free, branded calling, and international phone number registrations.

Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
- Select Trust Hub, then Profiles.
- On Create your primary compliance profile, select Get started. To read about what a profile covers first, select Learn more about primary profiles.
- On the Get started step, review the Information Needed and Details columns so you know what to gather. Select What will I need? for the full checklist, including Additional requirements (if applicable).
- On the Select profile type step, choose Individual Profile or Business Profile:
- Individual Profile, for sole proprietors or hobbyists exploring and building with Twilio products. Capabilities include A2P 10DLC messaging, international messaging, and unbranded voice calls.
- Business Profile, for businesses with verified business documentation looking to scale with Twilio. Capabilities include A2P 10DLC messaging, international messaging, branded voice calls, US toll-free messaging, short codes, and alphanumeric sender IDs.
- On the Provide details step, complete the profile fields. For a business profile these include Profile friendly name, Authorized representative, Address, Legal business name, Business identity, Business registration ID type and number, Business industry (optional), Company type (optional), Business website URL, Social media profile URL, and Notifications email.
- Submit the profile. Twilio reviews it and the status on the Profiles page moves from Draft to In review, then to Approved or Rejected.
Additional Information
- An individual profile also asks for a Government ID (a government-issued photo ID) and Selfie verification (a photo-selfie submission).
- If you leave the wizard part-way through, the profile is saved as Draft and the Profiles page offers Complete profile so you can pick up where you left off.
- On a subaccount, the primary profile is managed at the parent account level. The Profiles page shows the parent account's profile in read-only form with the note that the profile is managed at the account level.
- The Notifications email you enter is where Twilio sends updates about the profile's review status.
