User Account Permission/Role(s) Required
Your user needs permission to create addresses on the account. Without it, submitting the form returns the message that you are not authorized to perform this action and to contact your account administrator.
Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
- Select Trust Hub, then Addresses.
- Select Create address.
- In Create new address, complete:
- Address friendly name, a label that distinguishes this address from others. You can change it later.
- Customer or business name, displayed as the addressee or recipient.
- Is this an emergency address?, choose Yes or No. An emergency address is the physical address used to route emergency calls and tell responders where to go.
- Read and tick the declaration confirming the information you have provided is accurate.
- Under Address, choose the Country, then fill in the address lines, city, state, and ZIP or postal code.
- Submit the form. A confirmation tells you the address was created successfully, and it appears in the Addresses table.
Additional Information
- The Country field stays disabled until you have answered the emergency address question, because the countries available differ between emergency and standard addresses.
- Twilio validates the address you enter. If it finds a close match rather than an exact one, it shows the suggested address alongside what you typed so you can accept the correction.
- If no match is found, an Address not found message explains which part failed, for example that the street address could not be found, the city could not be found, the state or region could not be found, the postal code is invalid, the house number is invalid, or the country is not supported for emergency addresses.
