Objective
Toll-free numbers must be verified before they can send messages to the US or Canada. Registering a number submits your use case, message samples, and opt-in evidence for review.

Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select Communications in the left sidebar.
- Select Trust Hub, then Registrations.
- Select Toll-free.
- Select Create registration.
- A toll-free registration needs a phone number attached to it, so you are asked to pick one:
- Select View toll-free numbers to see the toll-free numbers already on your account that still need registration.
- Select Buy a number to purchase a new toll-free number first.
- With a number chosen, complete the registration form. It collects your Registration friendly name, the Linked messaging service, your Use case categories, Estimated monthly SMS volume, Use case description and Production message sample, plus end user consent details such as Opt-in type, Terms and conditions URL, Privacy policy URL, and whether the content is age gated.
- Submit the registration. It appears on the Toll-free page with a Status of Pending review, then In review, and finally Approved or Rejected.
Additional Information
- Create registration stays disabled until you have an approved primary compliance profile.
- The registration also records a Notification email, which is where updates about the review are sent.
- Use Search by HH SID or PN SID on the Toll-free page to find a specific registration, and the Status filter to narrow the list.
- Select Documentation in the page header for Twilio's written guidance on toll-free verification.
