Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select the Trial badge in the account status area at the top of the page, then select Upgrade.
- Select Upgrade account, complete the Your account and tax details step, and select Next.
- If Twilio has a corrected version of your address, the Verify address dialog opens showing Entered address beside Verified address, with the differences highlighted. Choose one:
- Use verified address, continue with Twilio's corrected address.
- Use entered address, keep the address exactly as you typed it. This option is offered for addresses outside the United States.
- Cancel, return to the form to edit the address. For United States addresses, this is the only other choice: you must either accept the verified address or edit what you entered.
- If Twilio cannot verify your address and has no correction to offer, the Unable to verify address dialog opens showing the address you entered. Choose one:
- Use the address I provided, continue with your address as entered.
- Cancel, return to the form to edit the address.
- After choosing, the upgrade continues to the Starting balance and auto-recharge step.
Additional Information
- United States addresses must be verified before you can continue. If a US address is invalid and Twilio has no suggestion, the step shows Address could not be verified with the guidance to review the errors and try again.
- If you cancel the Unable to verify address dialog, the step shows Please confirm your address to continue. and you stay on the account details step.
- If the address check itself fails, the step shows Your account and tax details could not be submitted and asks you to submit again. If it keeps failing, contact Twilio Support.
- The Unable to verify address dialog links to an article explaining why Twilio needs to validate your service address for taxes.
