Objective
This article shows you how to move from the account you are currently working in to another Twilio account or subaccount you have access to, either from the account switcher in the top bar or from your My accounts list.
Product
Twilio Console
Environment
Twilio Console
Procedure
- In the Twilio Console, select your account name in the top bar to open the account switcher.
- If the account you want appears under Recent Accounts, select it. The Console reloads in that account.
- If it is not listed, select View my accounts to open the full My accounts page.
- Find the account you want, using the search box or the filters if needed.
- Select the account name in the Account name column. The Console checks your access to that account and then opens it.
- If you would rather land somewhere specific inside the account, open the Quick links menu on that row and choose a destination, for example Go to account home, View account usage, or View account details.
Additional Information
- Recent Accounts only lists accounts you have visited recently, so a newly granted account may only appear on the My accounts page at first.
- Closed accounts cannot be opened. Their names are not links and Go to account home appears greyed out in the Quick links menu.
- Dormant accounts must be reactivated before you can work in them. Their only quick link is Resolve dormancy.
- If the access check fails, you stay on the My accounts page and see Failed to check account access. Please try again.
- If you close the My accounts page without choosing an account, the Console returns you to the account you came from. If it cannot determine one, it prompts you with Select an account and the guidance Please select an account from the my accounts list to continue to console.
