Documents Required and Instructions to Register Your Alphanumeric Sender ID in Iraq

Objective

As of July 1, 2026, unregistered Alphanumeric Sender IDs and international long codes sent to networks in Iraq are delivered on a best-effort basis. This means delivery is not guaranteed, and some messages may fail to reach your customers.

To ensure your traffic continues without interruption, you must register your Alphanumeric Sender IDs. Please note that approvals can take up to 3 to 4 weeks, so we recommend submitting your application as soon as possible.

Documentation Requirements

To register your Alphanumeric Sender ID, Iraq network operators require specific documentation. Please ensure all documents are filled out completely and accurately, as mobile network carriers are very strict regarding these details.

  • For All Businesses: A Business Registration certificate (or equivalent document) that proves the legitimacy of your business.

  • For Banks and Financial Institutions Only: A Business Registration certificate AND a signed Letter of Authorization (LOA) for Iraq - template can be found below
