How to Create a Category for Use with Single Sends

Objective

Twilio SendGrid's Categories can help organize your email analytics by enabling you to group emails by type. Just as you can view the statistics on all your email activity, you can go a step further and view the statistics by a particular category.

The events that can be associated with a Category include:

  • Emails sent
  • Clicks
  • Emails opened
  • Emails bounced
  • Spam Reports
  • Unsubscribes

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required 

Any user with Marketing permissions, including admin users

 

Procedure

First, start creating a Category for a Single Send:

1. Create or open an existing Single Send.
2. Under the Settings tab, click on Categories and give a name to your new Category e.g: July Marketing Sends.
3. Click to create the Category.
 

This Category will now be attached to the Single Send. You can now utilize the Stats tab within your account to track Category Stats and Category Comparisons for Single Sends that you have added to the Category.
