Can I Use a Reduced (Shorter) API Key Size in SendGrid?

Question

Can I use a reduced API key size in SendGrid?

Product

Twilio SendGrid (Email)

Answer

Short answer is no. SendGrid API keys are always 69 characters long. This length is fixed for all API keys generated by SendGrid, and it is not possible to request or generate a shorter API key. Twilio SendGrid cannot make exceptions for third-party infrastructure or applications that are unable to support a key of this length.

What should I do if my application cannot support a 69-character key?
If your application, integration, or infrastructure cannot accommodate a 69-character API key, you will need to update or modify it to support this requirement. There is no supported workaround for using a shorter key with SendGrid.
