How Do I Decrease My Account Calls per Second (CPS)?

Question

How can I lower my calls per second (CPS) if my current CPS is outside the "self-service" CPS limits in the Twilio Console?

Product

Programmable Voice

Environment

legacy Twilio Console

Answer

If you need to decrease your CPS limit because your account falls outside of 'self-service' CPS limits, please reach out to Twilio Voice Support at least 1 week before the end of the current month.

Decreasing CPS values can only be made for the 1st day of the month. The decrease occurs automatically on the 1st day of the month, and therefore, should be scheduled in advance to avoid any delay in the decrease (e.g. if you wait until the 1st of the month, it's possible the change will not take effect until the 1st day of the following month).

Additional Information

Increasing CPS values may occur anytime during the month, and you'll be shown prorated charges. Changes will happen immediately upon acknowledgement.

If you would like to change your CPS value greater than 5, please reach out to support team by creating a support ticket.
