Cause

The issue you're experiencing is likely due to insufficient user permissions on your Twilio account. Specifically, if your account is assigned a Developer role, it may lack the required privileges to establish a connection with Stripe via the payment connector.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, you'll need to ensure your Twilio account has either Admin or Owner privileges.

Steps to Follow:

  1. Contact Your Twilio Account Owner
    Request that they either:
    • Connect the Stripe payment connector on your behalf, or
    • Upgrade your role to Admin.
  2. Role Update Confirmation
Once your role has been updated to Admin, you should be able to click the "Connect with Stripe" button without encountering the error.

Note: This behavior has been tested and confirmed—only Twilio accounts with Admin or Owner roles are able to successfully connect with Stripe through the Twilio Console.
