Programmable Messaging

Answer

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) is a United States law governing data security and privacy for entities handling Protected Health Information (PHI).

Twilio Programmable Messaging for SMS and MMS can now support compliant healthcare use cases that contain PHI for organizations that are subject to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Twilio will sign Business Associate Addendums (BAA) with covered entities and business associates for HIPAA Eligible Products and Services.

For more details about Twilio and HIPAA, see twilio.com/HIPAA.
