How can I update my WhatsApp business logo and profile information?

When you submit a Twilio phone number to be enabled for WhatsApp, you must provide a Display Name to appear on your in-app profile for WhatsApp users. It is also recommended to provide some additional information, such as your business address and a link to your logo.

If you do not submit this additional information initially, or you need to change something, you can update this profile information in the Twilio Console or via API:

  • Console: Navigate to the WhatsApp Senders page in the Twilio Console and click on the sender you want to update.
  • API: Use the Sender's API following the documentation here.

For updates to your profile logo/photo, make sure you use a square JPG or PNG image at least 640x640 pixels in size. If you submit a PNG image with a transparent background, the background will be rendered as black.

If you need to update your Business Display Name for a specific WhatsApp sender, please submit a support ticket. If you have multiple WhatsApp senders, be sure to let us know which number you wish to update.

A note about Business Display Name

Please note: by default, your Business Display Name will appear to end users next to your number in the WhatsApp app. Upon request, WhatsApp may approve certain select businesses to get their WhatsApp number "Verified," which causes messages to be branded with the company name. To learn more, see our documentation about WhatsApp Official Business Verification.
