The Twilio API for WhatsApp offers many of WhatsApp's messaging capabilities, including:

- Media messages
- Message read receipts ("Read" status) on outbound messages
- Direct replies on messages sent in the last 7 days
- Location messages
- Message formatting
- WhatsApp Buttons
- Catalogs
- Carousels

Due to differences between Twilio, the WhatsApp Business API, and WhatsApp's end user mobile app, not all WhatsApp features and behavior are available through the Twilio API for WhatsApp.
However, Twilio is actively working on adding more features to our WhatsApp offering. Even if you don’t see the feature listed in our documentation, it may already be in development. Keep an eye on our Messaging Change Log or check our API documentation periodically for updates. If there is a specific feature you'd like to see added, please contact our support team and let us know. We track customer requests to help prioritize feature development.
