We know that managing your Twilio phone numbers from different countries can be confusing. Many of the rules and regulations that govern these phone numbers were created prior to Twilio, leading to a lack of clarity, and inconsistencies in how they're applied. To help clarify these issues for customers, we've created a new Regulatory Compliance Report in Console.

Access Compliance Report via Console
- Click Phone Numbers.
- Click Regulatory Compliance.
- Click Compliance Report.
Search for the Country and Number Type in Question
- Click the Locale drop-down menu to select a Country you own Twilio phone numbers in.
- Click the Type drop-down menu to select the phone number type (local, mobile, national, toll-free).
- Click Search.
Any phone numbers you own on this project that match the selected country and number type will be displayed:
Any Not Compliant
phone numbers will be displayed with a verification link. Click this link to provide the required documentation. For more details on the requirements for each country and phone number type, please see Phone Number Regulatory Requirements by Country.
Regulatory Compliance Statuses
There are three possible compliance statuses for Twilio phone numbers:
Compliant | Twilio has validated the documentation provided for this phone number. |
Pending Review | Documentation provided for this phone number is being processed. Reviews are usually completed within 24 business hours. |
Not Compliant | No documentation has been provided, or the documentation has been found not compliant. |
