A2P 10DLC Campaign Vetting Delays: Twilio cannot approve 10DLC Campaigns ourselves, and must rely on third parties who control our connections to carriers to sign off. These external processes are creating several week delays for our customers. We continue to escalate these issues and are working to reduce delays wherever possible. Further details will be shared in the Campaign Vetting Changes article as they become available.

How Does Twilio Programmable Fax Pricing Work?

Twilio Programmable Fax has two elements to the pricing:

  • Per-page costs
  • Transmission (per-minute) costs

Per-page Costs

Twilio charges a flat rate of $0.01 for each document page sent or received. This per-page price is good for any connection. The first 100 pages transmitted on your project are free for you to test.

Transmissions Costs

Twilio also charges a per-minute rate for the connection to your fax destination or from a sender. This transmission charge is billed at the same rate as SIP Trunking calls, and will vary by destination. We expect faxed documents to require 30 to 60 seconds for each page to transmit.

Additional details for these charges can be found on our SIP Trunking pricing site.

Failed Faxes

We only charge your balance after a fax has been fully delivered. If an outgoing fax fails at any point before the final page finishes, or if the destination is busy, we will not charge you.

Pricing Example

Let's say you're faxing a 5 page document to a US-based Toll Free number. If the transmission takes 5 minutes, your total price for this fax would be $0.085.

Fee Type Rate Quantity Total Price/Fax
Per Page $0.01/page 5 pages $0.050
Transmission $0.007/minute 5 minutes $0.035
    TOTAL $0.085
