How to Delete a Function

Objective

This guide explains how to delete a Function. When the Function is deleted the related Function SID for the Function is also deleted.

User Account Permission/Role(s) Required 

An Owner or Admin user can delete a Function.

 

Procedure 

Delete a Function in API

Functions can be deleted via an HTTP POST request to the Function resource. For full details, including sample code, please see our API documentation REST API: Delete a Function resource.

 

Delete a Function in Console 

  1. Use the main lefthand navigation menu to go to the Functions Services page.
    NOTE: If you have Twilio Regions enabled you will need to go to the Region to make the changes to.

    1. Select Functions and Assets.


    2. For the Function you want to delete, click on the Delete button on the far right.


    3. A pop up will show asking for confirmation to delete the Function. Click Delete.


    4. You will receive a confirmation in the top right of the screen that the Function was successfully deleted. The Function will no longer show in the Function Name listing and will no longer be functional.
