View and Create New Accounts in Twilio Console

Twilio users can create additional accounts to help separate resources and account balance. Many customers use multiple accounts for building out different use cases or when they need to control user access. 

View or Switch between Accounts

  1. Click on the account icon in the upper left corner of the screen, just to the right of your account name, and then click View all accounts button

Create a new Account from Console

Note: When creating an additional account in Console, users will need to be re-invited to the account. 

  1. Click on the account icon in the upper left corner of the screen, just to the right of your account name, and then click View all accounts button

Create a new Account from Organization

Note: When creating an additional account in Console, users will need to be re-invited to the account.

If a user is Twilio Organization Owner or Admin - they can also create accounts trough the Organizations Twilio Admin.

  1. Log in to the Console and navigate to Twilio Admin > Accounts.
  2. Click the Create New Account button.
  3. On the Create new account screen, name your account and select if the account will be used for Twilio or Flex.
  4. Enter the Friendly name of your new account.
  5. If you select Twilio - then you will be able to select an account part of your Organization to copy the already verified Primary Business Profile and Billing Country from to be used by your new account.
  6. Click the Continue button.
  7. Review the data and click the Create new account button. 
  8. After you create and set up your new account, it will show up under your Organization's Accounts section under Managed Accounts.
  9. The Profile Business Profile will be verified on this new account.

Create a new Account and copy existing Primary Business Profile

Note: At the moment copying existing Primary Business Profile for now is available only for Organizations with less than 10 accounts. The option is available both trough the Console as well as Twilio Admin.

Twilio allows our customers to create a new account and copy the already existing and verified Primary Business Profile and Billing country on account creation, as long as they are part of a Organization.

Organization Owners or Admins can copy the verified Primary Business Profiles from all accounts in their organization, while the organization Standard Users can only copy it from the accounts they own.

  1. Click on the account icon in the upper left corner of the screen, just to the right of your account name, and then click View all accounts button

  2. Click the Create New account button and follow account creation process: Screenshot 2024-07-30 at 9.04.39 PM.png
  3. Input the New Account Friendly Name
  4. Select Twilio account(copying is not available for Flex accounts).
  5. Select the existing account to copy the profile from.
  6. Review the account that will be created and information copied.
  7. Click on Create new account.
