In general, we support the current major revision of these web browsers, as well as the previous major revision. In other words, if the current browser release version is N, we test with both N and N-1. These are the currently supported browsers:
|Apple||Safari* (Version 11 and later)|
|Microsoft||Edge (ORTC support)|
*Safari 11 is supported as of Twilio.js 1.4.23 and later.
Other browsers are investigating support for WebRTC, and may release WebRTC capable versions in the future. Please refer to this link for the most up-to-date information about browser WebRTC support.
Notice: Due to inconsistent WebRTC support, some Twilio.js features are not be supported on all browsers. For a list of specific features, please see Twilio Client - Browser Compatibility (Twilio Docs).
Mobile browsers including Safari and Chrome on iOS and Chrome on Android are not supported by Twilio Client. Instead, we recommend the use of Twilio’s Programmable Voice SDKs to develop native Android and iOS apps.
